AI-Powered Spam Detection for Conversations

Our AI-powered Spam Detector labels and removes spam and phishing messages from your inbox.

Spam detection only works for Instagram and Facebook Direct Messages. It is not available, therefore, for customers with a Reviews subscription.

How it works

  • Spam detection is enabled automatically if you have enabled all existing and future AI tools in Account Settings.
  • We use a large language model to identify spam and phishing messages amongst your Direct Messages from Instagram and Facebook.
  • When the model detects spam or phishing, the conversation will be labelled as spam and moved to the spam folder.
  • After 30 days, conversations in the spam folder are automatically closed.
  • If you think that a conversation marked as spam, is not spam or phishing, you can click Not spam and the conversation will return to your inbox.
  • You can manually mark a message as spam. it will be moved to the spam folder and be closed after 30 days.

Step-by-step

1. Enabling and Disabling Spam Detection

Click AI Tools in the left menu to open the AI Features page.
Click AI Tools to open the AI Features page

To enable, check the box next to Spam Detection. If you check the box next to Enable all existing and future AI tools you will enable Spam Detection, all other existing AI features, and we will automatically enable. To disable spam detection, uncheck the box next to Spam Detection

Only account owners can access the AI Features page, so if you can't access the page you will have to ask a colleague who is an owner.

2. Manually marking as spam or not spam

You can mark a conversation as spam by clicking Mark spam in the menu above the conversation. This will move the conversation to the Spam folder. The conversation will be automatically closed after 30 days.
