Listings – Profile/Logo & Cover Images

Profile/logo and cover images are key visual elements that help customers recognize your business across search results, maps, and social networks. Keeping them high-quality and up-to-date ensures a consistent, professional online presence.

For detailed specifications and best practice recommendations, please see our Specifications Summary.

What is a profile/logo image?

A profile or logo image appears next to your business name in search results, map pins, and on your network listing pages (e.g., Google Business Profile, Facebook Business Manager).

What is a cover image?

Cover images are large, visually impactful photos shown at the top of your business profile page on each network.

  • Facebook: displays as the header image on your page.
  • Google: shown below your business name and rating in Search and Maps; Google may select the cover photo that best represents your storefront. This is often a clear exterior shot of your location.

How to manage brand images

Standardized for all locations
Custom for single or multiple locations
Media API (Integrated with your internal system)

Standardized for all locations in Brand Management

Adding via Brand Management applies the image to every location under your brand page at once.

Brand Management - Facebook Brand Pages

  • In Listings, click Brand Management in the left menu.
  • Select Facebook or Google.

Update or edit
  • Hover over the Profile/Logo Image or Cover Image thumbnail and click Edit. From the popup, select a new image from the list or upload one.
  • If the aspect-ratio doesn’t match, use the image cropper to adjust.

Reset to brand (standardized)
  • To see which locations aren’t using the standardized brand image, click Custom profile / logo images (n) or Custom cover images (n).
  • In the popup, check each location you want to revert and click Reset to brand.

Resolve brand page conflicts
  • If there are any brand-level conflicts, click Brand Page Conflicts to review and resolve them.

Custom images for single or multiple locations

Location Details - Google Logo & Cover Image

  • In Listings, click Locations in the left menu.
  • Select one of the locations you want to update.
  • Under the desired network section, click Logo Image, Profile Image, or Cover Image.
  • Choose an existing image or Upload a new one.
  • If you want to update more than one location, click Select locations.
  • Click Add selection, then Update – or, if editing a single location, click Update directly.

Media API

Manage images efficiently via our Media API. For full details of how to set it up, see our article on Media API.

With the Media API you can:
  • Upload profile/logo or cover images to a single location, multiple locations, or all locations in one request.
  • Apply images per network or reuse a single asset across all networks and locations.

Choose your approval flow:
  • Manual approval: images remain pending until reviewed in Listings.
  • Automatic approval: images are applied immediately upon request.
