Listings: Networks List

What is a Business Network?

A business network is a website where businesses are listed by category. Categorisation could be by type of business, location, activity, or size, among other factors.

By navigating to Listings > Networks you can see a complete list of all the available networks you can connect to, the connection status and the number of locations connected to that network.

Why is it good to be listed on many networks?

The more networks you are listed on, the greater the chance of your business being found by people searching by keywords or categories.

Our advice is that you are listed on all the networks that we offer. However, we understand that you may prefer to configure the networks we send your business info to, so we offer the option to enable or disable which networks you're connected to.

Type of connections with the directories:

Direct two-way connection: PinMeTo pushes data to the network and the network pushes data to PinMeTo. We know what data is in the network.
One-way connection: PinMeTo submits the data to the network but has no feedback about if it’s published, or what data is live.

How often does each network update location information?

Google - In Google, you have a direct connection. It usually takes approximately 3 minutes to update the new information.
Apple Maps - It takes few minutes to be updated but it can take up to 24 hours.
Bing Places - Information is normally updated within a few minutes to an hour but it can take up to 21 days
Waze - For Waze, a two way information transfer method is used, and you have a direct connection through Google Business Profile. PinMeTo pushes data to the network as soon as there are data changes, and the network pushes data back to PinMeTo. PinMeTo can verify what data is in the network.
Facebook - Facebook also uses a two way information transfer method with direct connection. PinMeTo pushes data to the network as soon as there are data changes, and the network pushes data to PinMeTo. PinMeTo can verify what data is in the network.
Instagram - Instagram also uses a two way information transfer method with direct connection, as it’s directly linked to Facebook. PinMeTo pushes data to the network as soon as there are data changes, and the network pushes data to PinMeTo. PinMeTo can verify what data is in the network.
TomTom - In TomTom the data transfer is one way. TomTom gets the data from PinMeTo once every 3 to 6 months. The exact time depends only on TomTom, and PinMeTo has no influence on that.
HERE - In HERE the data transfer is one way. HERE gets the data from PinMeTo once every 3 to 6 months. The exact time depends only on HERE, and PinMeTo has no influence on that.
Foursquare - Data transfer to Foursquare is one way. PinMeTo submits the data to the network once a week, every wednesday at 11 a.m. UTC, but doesn’t receive feedback about whether it’s published or not, and about what data is live. 3rd party networks buy data from them as well.
Seznam - In Seznam the data transfer is one way. Seznam gets the data from PinMeTo daily.
Trustpilot - With the Standard Plan of Trustpilot customers can add their locations and update data in Trustpilot by uploading a location file as described in Trustpilot's Location Management Guide. Data will be updated when the file is uploaded.
