Section 2: Setting Up & General



This section covers the process of connecting your Trustpilot account to PinMeTo.



Part 1: Before You Begin (Prerequisites)


Before starting, you must have the following:

  • An active account with Trustpilot.
  • The Conversations or Reviews product activated on your PinMeTo account.



Part 2: Connect Your Account in PinMeTo


  1. Contact the PinMeTo Customer Success Team to have the Trustpilot feature activated for your account.
  2. Once activated, navigate to Listings > Networks > Trustpilot.
  3. Click Connect and follow the prompts to connect your account with PinMeTo.



Part 3: How the Connection Works


  • Connection Type: This is a one-way connection. PinMeTo receives review data from Trustpilot, allowing you to reply from our platform. You can add your locations and update data in Trustpilot by uploading a location file as described in Trustpilot's guide to Location Reviews 🔗.
  • Update Frequency: PinMeTo checks for new reviews from Trustpilot approximately every 20 minutes. There may be a short delay between a review being posted on Trustpilot and it appearing in PinMeTo.
  • Plan Requirements for Locations (as of Oct 2025): You can connect any Trustpilot account to PinMeTo. However, to manage reviews and get insights for individual physical locations (not just your brand), you must have one of Trustpilot's paid plans and their Location Reviews add-on module.



Managing Reviews in PinMeTo


Once your account is connected, you can begin managing your reviews in our Conversations or Reviews Inbox.


Important: To manage Trustpilot reviews, users in PinMeTo must be assigned to the All locations access rights group. You can manage this in Account Settings > Access Manager.

Track the performance of your Trustpilot reviews using the analytics in PinMeTo's Listings and Conversations insights tabs.

Q: I have a free Trustpilot plan. Can I still connect it?

A: Yes, you can connect a free Trustpilot plan to manage brand-level reviews. However, you will need a paid plan with the Location Reviews add-on to manage reviews for specific physical locations.


Q: I don't see my individual store locations in PinMeTo.

A: Managing location-specific reviews requires a paid Trustpilot plan and their Location Reviews add-on module. If you have this plan, you can upload a location file to Trustpilot to match your locations. Please contact our support team for assistance if needed for accessing or filling out the .csv file for your locations.


Q: Why is there a delay in reviews appearing in PinMeTo?

A: PinMeTo syncs with Trustpilot every 20 minutes, so there is a natural delay. If a review hasn't appeared after a longer period, please contact support.


Q: What specific location data is sent to Trustpilot?
