Location Reports & Presence for AI assistants

Create location reports and web presence scans from your PinMeTo data in Claude, ChatGPT, or Codex.

The PinMeTo Location Reports & Presence plugin gives your AI assistant two ready-made tasks that use your PinMeTo data. Ask for a quarterly report and you get a branded PDF or PowerPoint. Ask for a web presence scan and you get a score, a ranked list of fixes, and a brief your developer can act on.

The plugin works in Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and Codex in the ChatGPT desktop app. It uses the same PinMeTo MCP Server described in AI & Automations, so you don't have to write your own prompts or build the reports yourself.

Section 1: What you can do

Location Reports

Ask for a monthly, quarterly, half-year, or annual report. You get a PDF or PowerPoint in PinMeTo branding that covers Google Business Profile, Facebook, and Apple Maps. It includes views, searches, direction requests, calls, ratings, review themes, and the keywords customers use to find your locations. Each figure is compared with the previous period or the same period last year, so the report works for a board meeting or a quarterly review without extra editing.

Web Presence

Ask for a presence scan of your website and you get one score out of 100, a ranked list of what to fix, and a brief for each item. The scan checks four things:

• Your store locator and location pages, the way a search engine reads them.
• Your listings on Google, Apple, and Bing Maps, the way a customer sees them.
• Whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity can quote your own pages when they answer questions about you.
• Whether AI agents acting for a customer can use your site.

Run the scan again next month and the same report shows what changed.

Both tasks compare what's live on the web with the location data you manage in PinMeTo. Most findability problems come from the same detail, such as a phone number or opening hours, being different in two places.

Section 2: What you need

• Your PinMeTo Account ID, App ID, and App Secret. You'll find them under Account Settings > API. If you can't find them, contact your Account Manager or our Support team.
• One of these AI assistants: Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Codex in the ChatGPT desktop app.
• For the map checks in Web Presence, a browser tool in your AI assistant (for example, Claude in Chrome). Without one, the scan still runs the website checks and marks the map checks as not measured.

Section 3: Set up the plugin

Setup has two steps. First you connect your PinMeTo data, then you add the plugin.

Claude Desktop

1. Download the latest .mcpb file from the PinMeTo Location MCP releases page.
2. With Claude Desktop open, double-click the file (or drag it into Settings > Extensions) and enter your Account ID, App ID, and App Secret.
3. Open Customize > Plugins, click the plus sign, and choose Add marketplace.
4. Enter PinMeTo/agent-plugins and install PinMeTo Location Reports & Visibility.

Claude Code

1. Set up the data connection using the PinMeTo Location MCP installation guide.
2. Run these two commands:

Codex in the ChatGPT desktop app

1. Set up the data connection using the ChatGPT desktop app instructions.
2. Install the skills using the instructions in the Location Reports and Web Presence repositories.

ChatGPT on the web can't use this setup, because it needs a remote connection. Use the desktop app.

Section 4: Check that it works

Ask your assistant: "Show me one of my locations."

If it returns a location, you're ready. If it doesn't, ask it to "run PinMeTo setup". The plugin includes a setup guide that checks your credentials and connection step by step.

You can ask in any language your AI assistant supports.

Section 6: Good to know

The plugin is read-only. It never changes your PinMeTo data or your listings. To make changes, use PinMeTo as usual.

Reports and scans are generated with AI from your PinMeTo data and public information, and they can contain mistakes. Check a finding before you act on it. The Web Presence score shows where your visibility can improve. It isn't a ranking PinMeTo guarantees.

Your AI assistant, your responsibility

The plugin runs in an AI assistant that you choose and manage yourself, such as Claude or ChatGPT. The data it fetches from PinMeTo is processed by that AI provider under your agreement and their terms, not by PinMeTo. This is different from the AI features built into PinMeTo, which are covered in AI & Automations. Before you start, check that your AI assistant fits your company's policy for AI tools and data.

FAQ

Q: Does the plugin cost extra?
A: No. The plugin and the MCP Server are free to use with your PinMeTo account. The only cost is your usage in the AI assistant you choose, which your AI provider bills according to your own plan with them.

Q: Do I need the MCP Server as well as the plugin?
A: Yes. The MCP Server connects your AI assistant to your PinMeTo data, and the plugin tells the assistant how to turn that data into reports and scans. Install the MCP Server first.

Q: My assistant says "UNAUTHORIZED". What's wrong?
A: One of your three credentials is incorrect, most often the Account ID. The Account ID is a short identifier such as yourbrand, not your company's display name.

Q: The PinMeTo tools show up twice. Is that a problem?
A: Yes, only one PinMeTo connection should be active. Remove the duplicate extension or server entry. If you installed an older PinMeTo Locations plugin (version 4.0.1 or earlier), update it, since those versions included their own server.

Q: Why does my Web Presence scan say "not measured" for the map checks?
A: Your AI assistant doesn't have a browser tool. The scan needs one to look at Google, Apple, and Bing Maps as a customer would. Add a browser tool and run the scan again.

Q: Can I use this in ChatGPT on the web?
A: Not yet. Use Codex in the ChatGPT desktop app, Claude Desktop, or Claude Code.
