LinkedIn Posts - Coming soon
Posting to LinkedIn
Connect your LinkedIn Company Page to our platform to streamline your content workflow. This guide will walk you through how to connect, what you can do and current limitations of our LinkedIn integration, helping you to effectively manage your professional presence.
Getting started – How to connect your LinkedIn Company Page
- Step 1: In order to connect, you must have the required roles in both our PinMeTo platform and your LinkedIn Company Page. (* See required roles below)
- Step 2: Navigate to Account Settings and the Posts section located in the lefthand menu
- Step 3: Go to "LinkedIn" and click on "Add Company Page"
- Step 4: You will be redirected to LinkedIn and asked to sign in. You will then be asked to allow the request. Please note that although you are connecting via your personal LinkedIn page and your profile image may appear during this connection. This is only to determine the Company Pages you are an admin of. No personal data is collected or stored.
- Step 5: Once you have allowed, you will be redirected back to PinMeTo where you can select the Page you'd like to connect. After choosing the correct page, you will be able to see the connected page. Note: If you do not have the right permissions for your LinkedIn Company Page, this process will not work and the desired LinkedIn Page will not show.
*Required Roles
- Platform Ownership: You must have an "Owner" role within our platform.
- LinkedIn Page Admin: You need to be designated as an "Admin" or "Content creation admin" on the LinkedIn Company Page you wish to connect.
Once these permissions are in place, you can securely connect your LinkedIn Company Page in the "Posts" section of your Account Settings.
Creating a Post on LinkedIn – Supported Post-Types
Currently, we are only supporting a standard post (image(s) + text).
If you need to create additional post-types (video, document, article), please let us know!
- Step 1: Choose LinkedIn in the "Create Post" drop down menu.
- Step 2: Add your content and select the Company Page you would like to post to.
- Step 3: Schedule it for later if you would like.
- Step 4: Post away!
- Step 5: Click on the post in our Posts overview to see the Post Details Page. Here you can find published status and insights (currently only reach and impressions).
Additional Capabilities – Scheduling and Content Duplication
- Schedule for Later: Plan your content calendar in advance by scheduling posts to go live at a specific date and time. This allows you to maintain a consistent presence even when you're not actively online.
- Duplicate from/to Other Networks: Save time by easily duplicating posts you've created for Facebook, Instagram, or your Google Business Profile to your LinkedIn Page or the other way around.
LinkedIn Analytics
The following metrics are available for the time period selected. Please note that as we are currently not supporting post import for LinkedIn, this metric will not include posts made directly on the network:
- Followers: LinkedIn Company Page followers.
- Posts Published: Total number of posts you've published via our platform.
- Reach: The number of people who saw posts you published. This is a post-level metric. This means that reach will be shown only for posts created during the time period you select.
- Impressions: The number of times posts you published were displayed on someone's screen. This is a post-level metric. This means that reach will be shown only for posts created during the time period you select.
- Exporting: Due to LinkedIn's API rules & regulations, we are not allowed to provide exportation of LinkedIn metrics. We will visualise core metrics from our dashboard, but there will be no download option.
What are the current limitations?
We do not support all functionality that is possible through LinkedIn's API. Please read through the current limitations and give us your feedback should you see something missing from your needs.
