Import external Facebook, Instagram, and Google posts

What does this mean?

In our ‘Posts’ product, PinMeTo users can view their external posts from Facebook, Instagram, and Google in addition to all posts created via PinMeTo. An imported post would be a post that was created on the network itself. This could be created by yourself or others on your team who aren't currently using PinMeTo for posting.

Who should import?

This feature provides a comprehensive overview of all posts from location pages and brand pages, granting greater control over your global social media presence. If you want to use PinMeTo Posts solely to support your existing social media efforts "on the ground" (ie in the networks themselves), this is a great way to keep your current ways of working at the same time as being able to get the whole picture of what's happening across your social presence on Google and Meta.

It can also be used for team leads that would like to post occasionally from a brand level to local pages, but would like to have full oversight of the activity and performance of all their location pages, brand pages and location listings. This can be visually through our calendar-view or performance-wise with all-inclusive insights.

How can I start importing?

To enable this function:

Ensure that you have Admin or Owner status within PinMeTo. If you just have access to Posts as a general user, please ask internally for an owner to reach out to to us as we cannot enable import without such a request.

Contact customer support and specify which networks you want to start importing from – we need to enable each network individually.

Our Customer Support Team will activate the networks you requested, and the posts from those networks will soon be visible in your Posts - Posts List. We will import from 1 year back, where available. This process can take up to a few days.

Once historical imports are complete, new posts made on the network will be imported regularly. You can also use the filter view of "Created in Posts" or "Imported from Network" in case you'd like to see activity or performance based on origin.

Note: Once the external posts from each network are activated, only posts up to a year old will be imported. It should also be noted that if you choose not to import from a network, your insights will only show activity on posts created via PinMeTo.
