Getting Started with AI-Powered Tools and Automations


Note: In order to use our AI tools, Account Owners must enable these features in Account Settings. If AI features are not included in your plan, you will not be able to activate them.


This guide provides an overview of PinMeTo’s artificial intelligence (AI) features, designed to help you save time, improve your customer interactions, and gain deeper insights from your data. We'll cover everything from enabling these tools to using them in your daily workflow.

Section 1: Our Commitment to AI Security



At PinMeTo, we are committed to providing secure, transparent, and privacy-compliant AI solutions. Our AI features are supported by trusted partners like Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Comprehend and align with both GDPR and our ISO 27001 certified information security principles.


Key points about our AI security:

  • No Customer Data for Training: We guarantee that your data will never be used to train AI models.
  • Explicit Consent: All AI data processing is carried out only with your explicit consent.
  • GDPR Compliant: Our AI features meet strict privacy requirements, including purpose limitation and data minimization. All personal data is processed within the European Economic Area (EEA).







Section 2: Enabling and Disabling AI Features


All AI tools can be managed from one central location in your account settings.


Only users with the Owner role can access the AI Features page. If you cannot see this page, please contact an Account Owner.


AI features may not be included in your current subscription plan with PinMeTo. If you are an Account Owner and still cannot see the options, please contact your Account Manager or our Support team.



How to enable AI features


  1. Navigate to Account Settings.
  2. Click on AI Tools in the left menu to open the AI Features page.
  3. From here, you can:

  👉 Enable all features at once by checking the box next to Enable all existing and future AI tools.

  👉 Enable specific tools individually by checking the box next to each feature (e.g., Spam Detection, Help me to write).


If you choose "Enable all existing and future AI tools," we will then automatically enable any new AI tools that we develop in the future. You can still opt out of individual tools after enabling all.

Spam Detection (Conversations only)


Our system automatically detects and hides spam comments on Facebook and Instagram, protecting your page from harmful content.



Language Detection


Our system automatically detects the language of each conversation, helping you route it to the right team member or use translation tools effectively.



Sentiment Analysis


Our system automatically analyzes your incoming conversations for positive, negative, neutral, or mixed sentiment, allowing you to quickly identify and prioritize critical feedback.



Automatic Reply Rules


Set up rules to automatically reply to certain types of reviews, such as all 5-star reviews without comments. This helps maintain a 100% response rate without manual effort.

MCP Server


For developers and advanced users, the PinMeTo MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server provides a new way to interact with your business data. It allows you to connect the PinMeTo platform with large language models (LLMs) and AI agents, such as Claude, enabling you to retrieve and analyze your location insights using simple, natural language.



What Can You Do with the MCP Server?


Imagine asking an AI assistant to analyze your performance, compare metrics across platforms, or suggest improvements—and getting an instant, data-driven response. The MCP Server makes this possible.


You can ask for things like:

  • "Please retrieve the Google, Facebook, and Apple insights for my location 'store-123' and summarise the key metrics in a table."
  • "Provide an operational analysis of my 'store-456' location, focusing on contact information, hours, and any areas for improvement."
  • "What are the top-rated locations in my account, and are there any notable trends in their recent reviews?"


The AI agent uses the tools provided by the MCP server to fetch the live data from your PinMeTo account and then presents it to you in a clear, summarised format.



How It Works


The MCP Server acts as a bridge between an AI agent (like the one in Claude Desktop) and your PinMeTo account. It exposes a suite of "tools" that the AI can use to access specific data points. These tools correspond to different endpoints in our API, covering permissions for "Read Locations" and "Listings Insights."


When you give the AI a prompt, it identifies the right tool to use, fetches the data, and then uses its language capabilities to analyze it and answer your question. This allows for complex reports and deep analysis without you ever having to navigate the platform's interface or manually export data.

Getting Started


Setting up the MCP Server requires some technical steps, but we provide resources to guide you.


  1. Find Your Credentials: First, you will need to get your API credentials. You can find these by logging into your PinMeTo account and navigating to Account Settings > MCP.
  2. Choose Your Installation Method:

  👉 Build from Source (Advanced): For customization or use with other MCP clients, you can build the server from the source code.


The GitHub repository provides detailed, step-by-step instructions for both installation methods, including prerequisites and configuration steps. Once installed and configured with your API credentials, you can start interacting with your PinMeTo data.







FAQs


Q: Why can't I see or enable the AI features in my account?

A: There are two common reasons for this:

  1. Permissions: Only users with the Owner role can see and manage the AI Features page in Account Settings.
  2. Subscription Plan: AI features may not be included in your current plan. If you are an Account Owner and still cannot see the options, please contact your Account Manager or our Support team.


Q: Is my company's data used to train AI models?

A: No. We guarantee that your data will never be used to train any AI models. Our AI solutions are GDPR compliant, process all personal data within the EEA, and are supported by trusted, secure partners like Amazon Bedrock.


Q: What happens if I check the "Enable all existing and future AI tools" option?

A: This option acts as a "set it and forget it" control. It will activate all current AI tools and automatically enable any new AI features we release in the future, so you always have access to the latest technology. You can still manually disable individual tools at any time.


Q: Does Spam Detection work on Google reviews?

A: No, the AI-Powered Spam Detection is specifically designed to work only for Facebook and Instagram Direct Messages. It is not available for customers with a Reviews-only subscription.


Q: What happens to messages marked as spam?

A: They are moved to a separate Spam folder and are automatically closed after 30 days. You can review them at any time and mark them as "Not Spam" if needed.


Q: What if the system incorrectly marks a real message as spam?

A: You have full control. If you find a legitimate message in the Spam folder, simply click the Not spam button, and the conversation will be moved back to your main inbox.


Q: Will the Automatic Reply Rules apply to all my reviews?

A: No, rules only apply to new reviews that are received after the rule has been activated. They will not reply to reviews already in your inbox.


Q: How can I make my automatic replies sound less repetitive and more authentic?

A: For each rule you create, we recommend writing a library of 3-5 different reply templates. The system will then randomly select one of these templates to post, which makes your responses feel more natural and varied.


Q: What happens if the AI detects the wrong language or sentiment for a message?

A: You can always override the AI's suggestion. If the language or sentiment is incorrect, or if it wasn't detected, you can manually select the correct option from the dropdown menu in the conversation view.


Q: Can I customize the replies used in Automatic Reply Rules?

A: Yes. For each rule, you can create multiple reply templates. The system will then randomly pick one to use, making your responses feel more natural.


Q: Why can't I use the "Write with AI" on my post if we have this feature enabled?

A: The "Write with AI" feature in our Posts product requires a minimum amount of text to work with. Your initial post message must be 5 words or more for the AI options to become available.


Q: Where can I find the API credentials needed to set up the MCP Server?

A: You can find your credentials by logging into your PinMeTo account and navigating to Account Settings -> MCP. You must have the Owner role to access this page.
